This week I witnessed devoted parents stand vigil over their teenage son who was hit by a car. He’s in the PICU with road rash, multiple fractures, and chest tubes. And his lung has collapsed twice in the past 12 hours.

Good Day. A really, reaaally good day.
Woke up early enough to make coffee before heading to the hospital.
Snuck into the off-limits parking garage to snag a good spot for once.
Cracked up with my patients and made them laugh.
Actually felt like I made a difference in their quality of care.
Caught up with my cousin & got hilarious updates on the family <3
